In Gregorio de Laferrere, a brutal collision between a bus and a truck left several injured and a woman with her arm amputated. The driver of the large vehicle was apprehended. The incident took place at the intersection of Route 21 and Cristiani Avenue when a bus from line 180 was struck by a truck.
According to a witness cited by the Argentinas News Agency, "The bus was coming along Route 21 and entered a lane of the avenue to return towards the Villegas neighborhood. Supposedly it had the green light and from the other side, in the opposite direction, from Ciudad Evita towards Laferrere, the truck loaded with animal fat was coming and they collided."
Several passengers were injured in the incident, and a woman was urgently transferred to a local hospital due to the amputation of her right arm at the scene. On the other hand, it was reported that the driver of the truck was arrested. Images of the injured on the sidewalk and inside the bus, as well as bones and animal fat from the truck's cargo, have caused shock as they were disseminated by the Argentinas News Agency.
In addition to this, both drivers were taken in relation to the accident. So far, no fatalities have been reported as a consequence of the collision.
